About
My name is Jillian Marcantonio, and I am a theologian, scholar, and teacher of Christian history. Bridging late ancient reception of New Testament texts and modern-day retrieval of early Christian theology, my research and teaching seek to make historical and theological texts accessible and applicable to the twenty-first century reader.
I defended my dissertation, "Embodying a Quiet but Pervasive Presence: The Holy Spirit in Late Ancient Liturgical Poetry" in the Graduate Program in Religion at Duke University, Durham, NC, in March 2025. I previously studied at Wheaton College (IL) before returning to my beloved home state to study at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ.
